Hi, I’m Sylvia, founder of Princess Amani / Amani Kids Studio, and proud co-founder alongside my daughter Myriah.
Our journey started in 2020 with the launch of our children’s clothing brand. Like many moms, I struggled to find kid-friendly clothing that truly fit my daughter’s personality and style. One day she shared with me that she wanted her own merchandise. As a mother who listens closely to what my child expresses, I decided to take that dream seriously and bring it to life. That moment sparked the beginning of her brand.
Before stepping fully into this space, I spent over 20 years doing hair, working in salons, owning my own suites, and even spending time working in childcare. Over the years I realized something important — my heart was always drawn to working with children.
What started with one child client quickly grew to three, then five, and then many more. That’s when I knew this was more than just hairstyling for me.
Working with kids isn’t just about hair. It’s about how they feel.
Helping young girls feel confident, comfortable, and proud of who they are reminds me of my own childhood. I believe childhood should always be fun, joyful, and empowering.
That’s why Amani Kids Studio is built on more than just great hair. It’s about creating a space where children feel seen, celebrated, and confident in the crowns they wear every day.
